A refreshing and festive Apple Cider Float combining creamy vanilla bean ice cream with crisp apple cider, garnished with aromatic spices and fresh apple slices for a delightful fall-inspired treat.
Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
- 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)
Garnishes
- Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
- Red Apple Slices
- Cinnamon Stick
- Whole Star Anise
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Place the vanilla bean ice cream into a tall glass, filling it about two-thirds of the way to provide a creamy base for the float.
- Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour the cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling cider, pour gently to manage the bubbles that form as the fizz reacts with the ice cream.
- Garnish the Float: Decorate the drink with a fan of red apple slices on the rim, add a cinnamon stick and a whole star anise into the glass, and lightly sprinkle cinnamon sugar down the side and over the top of the float for added flavor and presentation.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the apple cider float immediately to enjoy the creamy texture combined with the crisp, spiced cider flavors at their freshest.
Notes
- For a fizzy experience, use sparkling apple cider; for a calmer taste, use still apple cider.
- The cinnamon sugar garnish is optional but adds a sweet-spicy contrast to the drink.
- Adjust the amount of ice cream and cider to taste or serving size.
- This recipe is best served immediately to maintain the texture and chill of the float.
