Description

A refreshing and festive Apple Cider Float combining creamy vanilla bean ice cream with crisp apple cider, garnished with aromatic spices and fresh apple slices for a delightful fall-inspired treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup Cold Apple Cider (or sparkling apple cider)

Garnishes

  • Cinnamon Sugar (optional garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Place the vanilla bean ice cream into a tall glass, filling it about two-thirds of the way to provide a creamy base for the float.
  2. Add the Apple Cider: Slowly pour the cold apple cider over the ice cream. If using sparkling cider, pour gently to manage the bubbles that form as the fizz reacts with the ice cream.
  3. Garnish the Float: Decorate the drink with a fan of red apple slices on the rim, add a cinnamon stick and a whole star anise into the glass, and lightly sprinkle cinnamon sugar down the side and over the top of the float for added flavor and presentation.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the apple cider float immediately to enjoy the creamy texture combined with the crisp, spiced cider flavors at their freshest.

Notes

  • For a fizzy experience, use sparkling apple cider; for a calmer taste, use still apple cider.
  • The cinnamon sugar garnish is optional but adds a sweet-spicy contrast to the drink.
  • Adjust the amount of ice cream and cider to taste or serving size.
  • This recipe is best served immediately to maintain the texture and chill of the float.
