Salad Ingredients
- 5 ounces Albacore Tuna (drained)
- 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon fresh Cilantro
- 2 tablespoons Lime juice (from 1 whole lime)
- 1 Avocado
- 1/2 cup Pico de Gallo (fresh tomato salsa)
- 1/8 teaspoon Salt, divided
Instructions
- Drain the tuna: Open the can of albacore tuna and drain all the liquid thoroughly to ensure the salad isn’t watery.
- Mix tuna salad: In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped fresh cilantro, and juice from half a lime. Add salt to taste and stir well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Prepare avocado base: Peel and chop the avocado, then place it into another bowl. Squeeze the remaining half of the lime over the avocado and lightly mash it leaving some chunks for texture. Add salt to taste and mix gently.
- Assemble salad layers: On a serving plate, create a base layer using half of the mashed avocado. Layer half of the tuna mixture on top. Finish with a layer of fresh pico de gallo salsa. Repeat this layering process on a second plate for the second serving.

- Use fresh lime juice for best flavor.
- Pico de gallo can be store-bought or homemade.
