Ingredients
Scale
Garlic Bread
- 1 loaf of garlic bread
Seafood Filling
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the stuffed garlic bread.
- Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, crab meat, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, garlic powder, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Hollow Garlic Bread: Slice the garlic bread loaf lengthwise and carefully scoop out some of the center bread to create a cavity for the filling, ensuring not to break the crust.
- Fill Bread: Spread the prepared crab and shrimp mixture evenly inside the hollowed-out garlic bread, filling the cavity completely.
- Bake: Place the filled garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the bread edges turn golden and the filling is hot throughout.
- Serve: Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, slice into portions, and serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use fresh or thawed shrimp and crab meat for best taste.
- Adjust garlic powder and lemon juice amounts to customize flavor intensity.
- For extra crispiness, broil the bread for 1-2 minutes at the end of baking but watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven for best results.
