Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 2 lbs. organic chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons On Everything All-Purpose Blend
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Hot Honey Sauce
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup organic raw honey
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Prep + Season Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts with extra virgin olive oil, On Everything All-Purpose Blend, smoked paprika (if using), and sea salt. Cut small slits on each breast to allow better marinade absorption. Optionally, marinate the chicken for enhanced flavor.
- Make the Hot Honey Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in the raw honey, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, chili powder, and a pinch of sea salt. Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Bake the Chicken: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the baking sheet. Spoon a generous amount of the hot honey sauce over each piece, reserving some sauce for serving. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
- Serve: Remove the chicken from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the remaining hot honey sauce over the breasts before serving. Pair with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Notes
- Cutting small slits into the chicken allows the marinade to penetrate deeper for more flavor.
- Marinating the chicken breasts for 30 minutes to an hour can enhance flavor but is optional.
- Adjust the cayenne and red pepper flakes to control the level of spiciness according to your preference.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
- Leftover sauce can be stored in the refrigerator and gently warmed before serving.
