Description

Deliciously gooey and crunchy S’mores Rice Krispies Treats combine classic marshmallow cereal bars with all the beloved flavors of s’mores, including Hershey’s chocolate, golden grahams, and mini marshmallows. An easy no-bake treat perfect for parties, snacks, or a fun dessert.

Base Mixture

  • 6 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 (12-ounce) bag jumbo marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 2 cups Golden Grahams cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows (from 2 1/2 cups divided)

Topping

  • 4 Hershey bars, broken into pieces
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (remaining from the 2 1/2 cups divided)


Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly butter it to prevent sticking and make removal easier.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the salted butter. Add the jumbo marshmallows and stir continuously until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Add Flavor and Cereals: Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract for extra flavor. Immediately mix in the Rice Krispies, Golden Grahams, and 1 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows until the mixture is evenly combined and coated.
  4. Layer Base: Spread half of the cereal mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Add Toppings: Top the spread mixture with half of the Hershey bar pieces and half of the remaining mini marshmallows to create the classic s’mores flavor.
  6. Top and Press: Add the remaining cereal mixture on top of the toppings, pressing gently to ensure it holds together well but not compacting too firmly. Then, finish by sprinkling the remaining Hershey bar pieces and mini marshmallows on top.
  7. Cool and Serve: Allow the treats to cool completely at room temperature so they set properly before cutting into squares for serving.
