Description

These Yogurt Flatbreads are soft, fluffy, and quick to make with just a few simple ingredients. Made using Greek yogurt and cooked on a stovetop skillet, they are perfect for wraps, dips, or as a side to your favorite dishes. Ready in just 25 minutes, this recipe yields delicious homemade flatbreads with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups (320g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup warm water (as needed)

For Cooking

  • Extra flour for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Form Dough: Add the Greek yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir with a spoon until a dough starts to come together.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Gradually add warm water a little at a time, kneading the mixture until a soft dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but not too wet.
  4. Knead Dough: Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3–4 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Divide & Roll: Divide the dough into 6 to 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten each ball into a ¼-inch thick round.
  6. Cook: Heat a dry skillet over medium-high heat. Place each flatbread onto the skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until bubbles form and golden brown spots appear.
  7. Keep Warm & Serve: Stack the cooked flatbreads in a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm. Serve immediately as a side, wrap, or with dips.

Notes

  • Use warm water sparingly to control the dough consistency; it should be soft but not sticky.
  • Cook on medium-high heat to get the perfect golden brown spots without burning.
  • Flatbreads are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • You can add herbs or spices to the dough for additional flavor.
  • If the dough is too sticky, add a little extra flour while kneading.
